Thanks, Incognito!
We'll check into that.
my roommate bought a new dell laptop, operated by windows 10. in the three weeks he's had it, it's online then goes offline (and this repeatedly): when he goes from one e-mail to another, when he engages in a financial transaction, when he opens a new webpage, etc.
he does the basic rebooting, as prescribed in the article whose link is attached.
his pc and my older dell and apple powerbook are all on wifi.
Thanks, Incognito!
We'll check into that.
for those who don't know, asexual is someone who feels no sexual desire for other people.
they may often want the companionship of a relationship but with no benefits.
what would the jws view be of a jw dating an asexual worldly person?
Not exactly your point, but posters raised some relevant questions:

If you know of similar issues, are you aware that it's because Microsoft fixed one problem but created this new one I am describing?
Any information you might provide would be appreciated.
THANKS!
this is just a general query, and am hoping someone can clarify.. a lot of web forums usually list the usernames of the admins & moderators.
i have not seen listed, unless someone can show me otherwise, the admins & moderators of this web forum.. from what i can gather, simon is the owner & admin of this web forum.
scully has just locked a discussion thread - so i'm guessing that s/he is either an admin or moderator.. who are the admins & moderators ?.
Small, but important for technical reasons, Simon kindly reminded me not to all-bold text and ALL-CAP SUBJECT TITLES. Likewise, when I needed help understanding other matters, I received a much appreciated. patient explanation.
We all need reminders and explanations.
Thanks, Simon, Angharad, and Scully!
is anyone else staggered by the fact that outside of the organization most of the general public seem to know very little or nothing about jw’s?
when i was in i was led to believe that 99% of the worlds population had been giving sufficient warning, knew what it was all about and were stubbornly sticking to their immoral ways.
the reality seems to be that the entire jw universe is barely noticeable to the masses.
Didn't we go out thinking that as people drove by or saw us from their windows, that a BIG witness was being given? That we were important enough to be recognized were ever we went? Assemblies with the badges on going out to dinner.... days of future past
A WT study article, many years ago, stated that those hearing the Good News but not getting the sense of its importance would most certainly understand what they had heard us preach -- when the "doors had been closed." Then, it would be too late.
I commented on that particular paragraph and firmly believed that the message was lying fallow in some recess of their minds but not acted upon. What dofp wrote, I believed with all my heart.

bless you, that was a big sneeze you let out sister.. sister- ah, what does "bless you" mean?.
oh, it's pagan.
because people bless the soul of the person so they don't escape from their physical bodies.. sister- right, it is difficult to change the little things, but we can please jehovah by staying away from those things.. .... this is a scenario that happened when i accidentally (naturally) said "bless you" to the jw sister.
what happens to the wife after their gb husband dies..

since i don't have you,i conjure up an image thatis both real and ideal.. what i do recall is etched in sharp relief, but deeply, in dark caverns of my mind.. the heart is a better well of reminiscence as it draws upan intangible but true past.. a newfound, tranquil corner inme reassures that love, thoughgone missing, is never lost..
Good morning, jp1692, Mr. Flipper, and scratchme1010:
When I read your beautiful comments last night while on a critter-care job, I wanted to respond immediately (but my Apple Powerbook doesn't allow responses). Now, on my DELL, back at home, I can reply.
jp1692: I'm sorry about your aunt's death, and to have learned of it just last night. Wishing you and your family peace at a difficult time.
I really like that thought of a "bitter well," where "better" could very well have been construed as a typo. That would surely have put a different slant on the poem's meaning; however, I was drawing a symbolic contrast between the darkness of the mind's perspective of events recalled and the benign vagaries of the heart's recollections -- memories seen through rose-colored glasses. So, the mind and heart are both wells, of a sort, from which to draw memories. I see the heart as a "better well," given the reasons stated above. Just this one poet's viewpoint. Your input is much appreciated!
Mr. Flipper: Yes, we were sorry to hear of both your parent's passing. Whatever the relationship between you and your parents, you will miss them when they are gone, so wrote Maya Angelou. It was a blessing that your mother's position as a Witness did not preclude having a great relationship with you. Your words mean a lot to me. THANKS!
scratchme1010: Thank you, and you're welcome!
because someone needs my help.. as a jw -- you can relate -- i truly believed that what everyone really needed was the kingdom hope and its eventual reality.
you know, the hope that does not lead to disappointment.
of course, if anyone needed practical help with a task or getting through some difficulty, most of us realized that was part of being a helpful and caring friend (or family member).. at nearly seventy years of age -- no, i didn't enter the promised kingdom in my healthful and vibrant youth -- my getting out of bed isn't so bad.
I'm glad you heard my words the way I meant them. -- Muddy Waters
Yes, I did!
THANKS.
